Project 01
Project 01 | Business Card

For the first project in my Graphic Design course at Atlantic Cape, we were asked to create our very own business card. It was my formal introduction to using Adobe InDesign, and helped lay the foundation of what was to come for the rest of the semester. It was necessary for us to include our name, contact information, and to reserve a small space for our logo, which I later went in and added after designing it in project three of the course.

Project 02
Project 02 | Resume

The second project was another exercise in getting to know InDesign, and specifically to create a personal resume. It was made optional for us to fill it out with our actual information, as it was at this point that we were first introduced to "greeking," where you essentially fill space with a bunch of pre-written text. I decided to fill it out with my actual information in the event that I actually use it someday.
Project 03
Project 03 | Logo

This project was a fun one to work on because it was our first time using Adobe PhotoShop. Prior to taking this class, I knew next to nothing about the program. While my design is nothing exceptional, I'm still happy with how it turned out, and it helped to familiarize me with a software I had long been wanting to learn.

Project 04
Project 04 | Stationary

This project marked the final entry in our four-project "Identity Package." It was created through InDesign, and as you may have noticed, I used "greeking" for pretty much the entire body of the letter. It was important to have a sense of consistency and uniformity between these four projects. I reused color palettes and typography to achieve this, and repurposed my logo as I saw fit for each project.
Project 05
Project 05 | Postcard

This was one of my favorite projects to work on, mainly because it's a postcard of one of my favorite places! For this project, I imported two photos I had taken while on vacation in Marco Island to InDesign, and used them as a backdrop for the front and back of the card. A postcard at its best will make you want to visit the location advertised, and seeing how this made me miss my times in Marco, I think I succeeded!

Project 06
Project 06 | Menu

For this project, we got to build a restaurant menu from the ground up using InDesign. I took inspiration from a local vegan/vegetarian chain I like to go to, and designed it around the faux restaurant "The Herbivore's Haven." This was a lot of fun to make; formatting each section of the menu in a different style and experimenting with features of the program like "bezel and emboss."

Project 07
Project 07 | Flyer

Guitar lessons! Come and get 'em! For this project I wanted to design a flyer you might find posted on a telephone pole in the city somewhere. This was another project in InDesign where I used "bezel and emboss," with the addition of some drop shadow effects and font experimentations as well. It turned out being one of my favorite pieces of the semester.

Project 08
Project 08 | Newsletter

For our final project with InDesign, we got to design a newsletter on a topic of our choosing. Mine is meant to be for a travel magazine, which features a new destination every week; hence the title ― "Wanderlust Weekly." Doing the issue on the Himalayas, I wanted to find some captivating photos, and design a newsletter which is appealing to the eye and, like the postcard, makes you want to visit the location!
